Presidency of the Council of the EU: Germany takes the baton from Croatia

On 1 July 2020, Germany took over the Presidency of the Council of the EU from Croatia.

When the Foreign Ministers of the two Member States met in Berlin, Maas thanked Croatia for its crisis management at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. For Germany, the focus will now be on economic and social reconstruction in the EU.
