GEODE & SmartEn Workshop on Flexibility

On 11 June 2026, from 13:30-16:00, GEODE and smartEn will hold a workshop titled “Towards Harmonised Local Flexibility Markets in Europe: Measuring and Trusting Performance” at the GEODE offices in Brussels (Avenue Marnix 28, 1000 Brussels). The workshop will be preceded by an informal joint lunch (with SmartEN) from 12:30-13:30.

Building on the Norwegian experience, this interactive workshop will explore the practical steps needed to develop and replicate local flexibility markets across Europe. The session will bring together a DSO, a market operator, and an aggregator to share first-hand insights into the design, organisation, and operation of an established local flexibility market. Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with speakers and exchange views on concrete implementation challenges, lessons learned, and opportunities to scale up local flexibility solutions across Europe.
