ENLIT Europe 2025
We are excited to announce that we’ll be partnering with ENLIT Europe again this year! ENLIT, the premier event for the energy sector, focuses on energy transition and decarbonization, and this year’s edition will take place in Bilbao from November 18th-20th.
We’ll have a stand at the exhibition (5.E18) and would love to connect with you there! Just drop us an email at galuffi@geode-eu.org to arrange a meeting.
As in previous years, GEODE experts will once again take part as speakers at the event. Confirmed GEODE speakers currently include:
- In the Summit, Hans Kreisel, GEODE Chairman and CEO of Nordion Energi, is confirmed as a speaker. He will participate in the session “Grids: Security, Resiliency & Adaptation” on November 19th, which will address supply security in terms of fuel, technology, equipment, and expertise, ultimately aiming to create a grid system that is secure, resilient, and adaptive.
- Harri Salomäki, Head of Asset Management and Partnerships at Elenia, will join the session “Optimising Grid Planning” on November 18th in the Grid Transformation Hub. Moderated by GEODE Secretary General Carmen Gimeno, the session will cover anticipatory investment, coordination between TSOs and DSOs, the NOVA Principle, and flexible connection agreements.
- Xavier Bou Torrent, Energy Communities Director at Elecsum, will speak in the session “Successful Energy Sharing Models” on November 19th in the Energy Democracy Hub. The session will showcase effective energy sharing models and address organisational challenges such as ownership and roles.
- Alberto Sánchez Pérez, Smart Grids Technologies Advisor at Cuerva, will present at the session “Best Practices in Flexibility Services Procurement” on November 18th in the Energy Storage & Flexible Demand Hub. The session will discuss best practices for procuring flexibility services from generation, storage, and demand-side assets.
- Carmen Gimeno, Secretary General of GEODE, will moderate the panel “Why Democratising Energy is Vital for Our Future Energy System” on November 18 in the Energy Democracy Hub. The session will explore the balance between benefits and system complexity, discussing how energy communities can help stabilise the grid, create value for both small consumers and DSOs, and generate local socio-economic benefits, particularly for vulnerable consumers.
